Scope of duties

If you decided to go to UK with TEE, you will be aware of where you are going, where you are going to stay (accommodation), you know the name of your host company and your manager and some of the duties you are going to perform.

REMEMBER: If you are organizing a placement on your own, don't forget to agree all the details with a hotel/restaurant!

Trainees work on such positions as waiter, assistant waiter, barperson, assistant barperson, receptionist, housekeeper, porter, kitchen assistant.

Before an interview with a manager arranged by TEE, you will be informed about suggested scope of duties and number of hours per week. During an interview, managers often specify the details of your duties, however usually the exact job description is presented on arrival, when your English level is verified.

Working hours

Offers provided by TEE give you the possibility to work FULL TIME, which is 35-40 hours per week.

Trainees usually work on shifts: in the morning, afternoon, evening or at night, depending on the rules of operation of a given establishment.

Some employers offer the opportunity to work overtime, if a hotel or restaurant is especially busy.
